7. Attach the data cables to the hub ports. Do

not use crossover cables to connect

workstations or servers to ports 1 through 8.

Do not use a crossover cable to connect a

switch, hub, or router to the Uplink port.

Note

You can use either port 8 or the Uplink

port. You cannot use both ports

simultaneously.

8. Go to the procedure “Verifying and

Troubleshooting the Installation” on page 17.

Verifying and Troubleshooting the

Installation

The following procedure should be perform

after you have initially installed the unit to

check to be sure that the device is operating

properly. You can also perform this procedure

to troubleshoot the unit in the event you

experience any problems with the device.

1. Check the Power LED. The LED should be

ON. If the LED is OFF, check the following:

❑ Verify that the power adapter is securely

connected to the power source and to the

DC connector on the front of the AT-

FH708E V2 unit.
