Whether one calls it the last mile or the first mile, one thing is certain: a voice, video

and data delivery network is only as powerful as the gateway into the customer

premise. Modems, residential gateways and set-top boxes are a customer’s access

point into the network and determine what services can be supported and what

revenue a service provider can ultimately drive. Allied Telesis offers a wide array of

iMG intelligent Multiservice Gateways for ADSL and Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH)

networks, available in a variety of configurations and speeds.

The Allied Telesis iMG 600 family of gateway solutions is the obvious choice to deliver

next-generation service offerings.The family combines support of IP Multicasting, QoS

capabilities and the bandwidth capacity of fiber to deliver multiple video streams, IP

Telephony and high-speed Internet access to subscribers. Using iMGs and next-

generation FTTH or xDSL access infrastructure such as Allied Telesis’ iMAP, service

providers are able to provide their end-user customers with a wide spectrum of

converged services (voice, video and data) from a single end-to-end system.
