Establishing a Connection to the Router
Before you start, consider how the router fits into your network. If you are
installing a new router, consider whether you want to configure it before
deploying it into the LAN, or want to configure it in situ. If you want to access
a router that has already been configured, consider the relative positions of the
PC and the router. The flow chart below summarises this process, and the
procedures that follow take you through each possibility in detail.
