Installing PowerBlade Switch and Media

Converter Modules

This chapter explains how to install PowerBlade Series Switch and Media

Converter Modules in the PowerBlade PBC18.

Note

Refer to the PowerBlade PBC18 Installation Guide for troubleshooting,

switch settings, topologies or cabling specifications for your specific

PowerBlade module. This guide can be found on Allied Telesyn’s web

site at www.alliedtelesyn.com.

To install a PowerBlade module in the chassis, perform the steps below:

1. Remove a blank faceplate from the chassis’ front panel by loosening the

thumbscrew. A PowerBlade module can be installed in any expansion

slot. See Figure 13.

Note

Do not remove a blank faceplate covering an expansion slot unless you

intend to install a PowerBlade module.
